FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

We asked a number of people what they would like to know about chiropractic treatment. The following compilation is our most “frequently asked questions.”

Q. What is the cost?

A. After the initial visit, which includes a thorough consultation, examination and usually your first treatment, a routine adjustment is approximately $60 – $70.

Q. What can I expect from chiropractic treatments?

A. Patients report less pain, more energy, increased mobility, flexibility and generally an improved overall feeling of well-being.

Q. How long does it take?

A. A routine visit for a chiropractic adjustment takes approximately 15 minutes.

Q. Does it hurt?

A. Most people experience immediate relief after being adjusted and think it feels good.

Q. Does Dr. Marcy have to twist me like a pretzel and pop my neck?

A. No, she uses a highly developed adjusting instrument called the Impulse iQ to treat your neck, back and other joints, which is safe for patients of all ages, including babies and children.

Q. Do I need to have x-rays taken?

A. Not necessarily. Dr. Marcy will decide after examining you if x-rays are indicated before treatment. Using her experience, education and training, she considers your complaints carefully. Dr. Marcy believes in treating her patients conservatively when it comes to x-rays. If you don’t respond to treatment in a timely way, then further testing is appropriate in the way of an x-ray or MRI. If you’ve recently had x-rays or an MRI done, please bring them along to your appointment. X-rays and MRIs are wonderful diagnostic tools, but are not always required.

Q. Do I have to get undressed?

A. Nope, you can keep your clothes on!
